Get ready for the ultimate sleepover with this Spend a Night Behind Bars for Two, a rare opportunity to spend 12 hours behind bars at one of the UK’s most haunted jails.
The prison staff will show you to your traditional Victorian cell for the night, before you embark on a guided tour of the jail. Highlights of the tour include Victorian Wings, themed cells, the segregation unit as well as the harsh and brutal strip cell and the execution room. Spend your time as you wish – whether that’s exploring the site, retiring to your cell, ghost hunting or playing games.
You’ll be able to enjoy hot meals and snacks at the original prison kitchen and in the morning, start the day right with a hearty breakfast before being released back into the world.
On arrival at 20.00, you’ll be met by prison staff, let into the prison through the huge wooden gates and shown to your traditional Victorian cell for the night. As part of this experience, you’ll enjoy a guided tour of the prison featuring stops such as themed cells, the segregation unit and more. After the tour, you’re free to spend your time as you wish – whether that’s exploring the site, retiring to your cell, ghost hunting or playing games. The original prison kitchen will serve hot meals and snacks until 22.00. You are woken early in the morning to the smell of fresh coffee and a hearty breakfast before being released back into the world at 07.00.
